The activity comes hours after Amit Shah, in a meeting with news organization ANI, blamed Teesta Setalvad for giving outlandish data about the 2002 Gujarat uproars to the police.A day after the Supreme Court maintained the spotless chit given to then Gujarat boss clergyman Narendra Modi in the 2002 mobs case, the Gujarat hostile to the psychological militant crew (ATS) kept dissident Teesta Setalvad in Mumbai while Ahmedabad Detection of Crime Branch (DCB) captured resigned DGP RB Sreekumar.
In view of a protest by police reviewer DB Barad, the DCB on Saturday held up an FIR blaming Sreekumar, excused IPS official Sanjiv Bhatt who is in jail for another situation, and Setalvad on charges of fabrication, trick, and different segments of the IPC.
An ATS group arrived at Setalvad's Mumbai home in the early evening and took her to Santacruz police headquarters. The activity comes hours after Union Home Minister Amit Shah, in a meeting with news organization ANI, blamed Setalvad for giving outlandish data about the 2002 Gujarat mobs to the police. In the meantime, a group of Ahmedabad wrongdoing branch got resigned DGP RB Sreekumar from his home in Gandhinagar Saturday evening, and took him to the wrongdoing branch settle Gaekwad Haveli in Jamalpur, Ahmedabad, sources told The Indian Express.
Claiming that the Gujarat ATS attacked her, Setalvad's attorney Vijay Hiremath said: "We were not educated. They jumped into (her home), they attacked her and they've taken her."
Sreekumar, Bhatt, and Setalvad have been reserved under segments 468, 471, 194, 211, 218, and 120B of the IPC.
