Addressing the joint session of the US Parliament, President Joe Biden said that he had told Chinese President Xi Jinping that the US would maintain a strong military presence in the Indo-Pacific region.

However, he clarified that it is not for the conflict but to prevent other countries from doing so. 100 days after he was sworn in as President, Biden said, America is now moving forward.

Joe Biden said, he has inherited the worst economic crisis due to the Corona epidemic in the last century. But America is now moving forward.

In his address, he said on his presence in the Indo-Pacific region, I have told President Jinping that we welcome competition, but do not want a confrontation.

Let us know that China is trying to increase its influence in the Indo-Pacific region while the US is maintaining its presence here with NATO allies. He said, "I will protect American interests and stand up against unfair trade practices that cut American workers and industries, steal national technology and intellectual property." He also said that America will not back down from its commitment to human rights and fundamental freedoms.

US-China relationship at lower level

Relations between the US and China are at a very low level on many issues. These include Chinese Dadagiri in the Hong Kong Autonomous Region, human rights abuses with Uygar Muslims in Xinjiang, China's aggressive moves in the disputed South and East Sea. America has been warning China on these issues many times.

Congress should pass the immigration reform bill Biden requested the US Parliament (Congress) to pass major immigration reforms, saying that immigrants had done a lot for America during the epidemic.

After assuming office, Biden has sent an immigration bill to Congress proposing to give legal status to migrants and citizenship to thousands of immigrants who do not have documents. Congress should move forward on this.

Climate crisis is not America's fight alone, it is global crisis

The President said that tackling the climate crisis is not a battle of America alone, but a global war.

Biden emphasized that he has emphasized fulfilling America's international obligations to slow the effects of climate change.

That is why I fulfilled my commitment to rejoin the Paris Climate Agreement as soon as I assumed office.

White supremacy is terrorism

In his first joint address to the US Congress, Biden said that the spirit of white supremacy is domestic terrorism against which the US will have to be vigilant.

Discussing the withdrawal of US forces from Afghanistan, Biden said that global terror networks have largely moved away from the country and that people with white supremacy are a greater threat to the country than foreign terrorists.

He also referred to the Capitol violence of 6 January. Also, they want the MPs to pass the Police Reform Bill on the death anniversary of George Floyd.

Harris and Pelosi created history

Vice President Kamala Harris and Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi created history by sharing the stage during the President's first joint session in Congress.

During the President's first address, two women sat behind him. Harris (56) is the first Indian and first black woman to become the US Vice President, while Pelosi, 81, became the first woman to become Speaker of the House in 2007, sitting to the left of the President.
